About Leda Di Marti

Leda Di Marti is a technical fashion designer, fashion business consultant and trainer. Born in Italy, she graduated at Accademia Costume e Moda in Roma, while she was working in Alta Moda Alta Roma and assisting the pattern maker of one of the most famous tailors in Bologna. Leda lived in NYC for 8 years, before moving to Milano and then Dubai. Her career took off in 2015, when he moved to New York, working for Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade and later for Carolina Herrera. Leda set up on her own as a fashion designer and founded Fashion Explained in July 2015 and started working for independent brands – with a loyal group of professionals based in Milan/NYC and London. Her experience of 18 years goes from organizing the backstage of the fashion shows during the Milan and Rome shows, to managing over 250 emerging brands in just the first two years spent in Dubai (2021-2022). In 2021, she co-founded the Maelle Group consultancy company for European and North American brands, who need to expand in the Middle East.
