Los Angeles Is One Of The Best Places In The World to Travel To In 2025

Los Angeles just made National Geographic’s list of the 25 best places in the world to travel to in 2025. But the beautiful beaches, the delicious food from around the world, or the incredible sports events (Let’s go, Dodgers!) are not the reasons why NatGeo has chosen L.A. for the list. According to National Geographic the reason why visitors should go now is to “get lost in L.A.’s new art offerings.” L.A. is becoming more known for our extraordinary art scene every year.

L.A.’s art is everywhere

L.A. has inspiring art everywhere you look. Art is not relegated to museums here. It spills out into the streets, spreads like infectious laughter, and splashes up onto walls even in the most unexpected places. L.A. displays mesmerizing street art all over the city.

We’ve even been named number 1 in the country for street art. Plus, L.A. even honors its legends through beautiful mural tributes. However, National Geographic references three specific special new art projects in L.A. that ensured that the city made the list of best places to travel to.

Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art will open in 2026 in L.A.’s Exposition Park. And it will display works collected by Star Wars creator George Lucas. The museum believes that visual storytelling can connect us, and they will be “the first museum to focus exclusively on storytelling through images.”
