Camp Hill fitness organization provides hurricane relief – Central Penn Business Journal
In the days after Hurricane Helene caused massive devastation to the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee, Camp Hill-based National Fitness Partners (NFP) contributed to the relief effort.
Backed by private equity firm, Argonne Capital, NFP is one of Planet Fitness’ largest franchisee organizations.
Following the storm, NFP’s Planet Fitness locations in Pennsylvania collected and donated over 14,900 pounds of supplies, the company stated in a release, with approximately 1,500 pounds of donations being driven “directly from Camp Hill, PA to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina to support communities in urgent need.”
NFP contributed 28 NFP volunteers “played a critical role in three airlift operations, helping with over 300 flights and organizing the delivery of more than 200,000 lbs. of essential supplies during these relief efforts at Statesville Regional Airport, Concord Padgett Regional Airport and Burlington Alamance Regional Airport.”
In addition to collecting and distributing supplies, NFP facilitated the opening of 33 Planet Fitness clubs in North Carolina to assist residents and collected over 40 blood donations from Fort Mills, South Carolina.
According to its website, NFP employs over 2,000 staff members and serves members at over 170 Planet Fitness locations across its operating footprint.
