Assistant or Associate Professor, Architecture, Technology/Tectonic Culture details: “The department seeks qualified individuals for a full-time critical review position (RISD’s version of tenure) to offer undergraduate and graduate-level instruction in the area of building, architectural tectonics, and fabrication.”

Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne seeks applicants for a Faculty Position in History of Architecture and a Faculty Position in the field of Sustainable Built Environment Systems in Lausanne, Switzerland

Faculty Position in History of Architecture details: “We especially look for a candidate with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching both introductory courses to bachelor students and advanced courses for master students. Moreover, the successful candidate is expected to supervise doctoral theses and lead a research laboratory. Preference will be given to an historian who can participate in teaching and research activities in collaboration with the diverse ENAC disciplines.”

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa seeks an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Architecture – Comprehensive Design and an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Architecture – Design & Construction in Honolulu, HI

Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Architecture – Comprehensive Design details: “This full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor includes responsibilities for teaching, research, creative work, thesis advising and service. The School of Architecture seeks candidates who can help advance and strengthen the curriculum and focus of the BEnvD, MLA, MArch, and DArch programs. Within the required specialization in architecture, desired expertise includes but is not limited to design research, professional and critical practice of architecture.”

Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Architecture – Design & Construction details: “The school seeks candidates who can demonstrate a high degree of practical and technical expertise with an emphasis on building materials, construction processes, building systems integration, the application of building codes, and management or administration of construction projects. A research focus on architectural technology or applied research in alternative construction sciences or ecological design relevant to the Pacific Islands context is desirable.”

Carnegie Mellon University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in Architectural Design in Pittsburgh, PA
“This position aligns with the core missions of the school’s NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Master of Architecture (M.Arch) programs – to train architects in the creative and professional practice of architecture leading to licensure. We are seeking candidates with interest and experience in comprehensive building design who can promote and expand innovative professional design practices.”

South Dakota State University seeks an Assistant Professor Architecture and an Instructor of Architecture in Brookings, SD

Assistant Professor Architecture details: “The South Dakota State University School of Design invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Architecture to begin no later than August, 2025. This is a full time, nine-month, benefit eligible appointment and the position reports to the Director of the School of Design. The position is typically 60% teaching, 30% research, scholarship and creative activity and 10% service.”

The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) seeks an Assistant Professor of Architecture and an Assistant Teaching Professor of Architecture in State College, PA

Assistant Professor of Architecture details: “The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in architectural practice, a passion for teaching fundamental architectural principles, a commitment to advancing core architectural design pedagogy, and a willingness to work across disciplines. A professional license to practice architecture and a PhD are preferred, and the candidate should possess a creative and curious mindset.”

Assistant Teaching Professor of Architecture details: “The candidate for the Assistant Teaching Professor position in Architecture will be expected to fulfill a teaching load of 3/3 (3 courses in Fall and 3 courses in Spring semesters), or an equivalent combination of teaching, service, and other activities as determined to be in the best interest of the department. This position does not come with a specific research charge; however, there will be ample opportunities for engagement in research and creative activities within the school.”

University of Arkansas seeks an Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture and Design in Fayetteville, AR
“Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, pursuing peer-reviewed scholarly and creative inquiry, and providing service to the department, school, university, and community are foundational expectations. The standard tenure-track faculty workload is 65% teaching, 25% research, scholarship or creative activity and 10% service. The typical tenure-track faculty teaching assignment is two courses per semester, one studio and one lecture/seminar or two studios, per semester.”

Clemson University seeks an Assistant Professor of Architecture and applicants for the Thompson E. Penney and Gretchen M. Penney Distinguished Professorship in Architecture in Evidence-Based Design in Clemson, SC

Assistant Professor of Architecture details: “The successful candidate will teach at different levels across the curriculum in undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD programs. The teaching load consists of a core or advanced design studio along with a core lecture course or seminar in architectural history and theory each Fall and Spring semester. All faculty are expected to support the operations of the program, school, college, and/or university through service on committees or other leadership roles.”

Thompson E. Penney and Gretchen M. Penney Distinguished Professorship in Architecture in Evidence-Based Design details: “While the primary role of the endowed professorship in EBD will be to conduct research at the highest level, the successful candidate will also be expected to advise PhD students in the SoA’s PhD program and integrate their research agenda within the School to enrich graduate and undergraduate education. University of Southern California (USC) seeks an Art Director and a Senior Events Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA

Art Director details: “The USC School of Architecture is seeking an experienced and creative Art Director to lead the design of all materials and visual media produced for the school. The Art Director will work with faculty and school departments to advise, create, and execute design standards and solutions to visual media objectives, create unique design and branding for events and initiatives that set the school apart with a clear, consistent, and compelling visual identity.”

Senior Events Coordinator details: “The Senior Events Coordinator works across nearly every department of the School, managing events and programming for the dean’s office, advancement/alumni relations, student services, faculty, and spearheading School participation in University-wide events. Experience with large-scale, multi-stakeholder events planning, project management, and proven ability to effectively manage and develop complex event and program budgets is required. University of Michigan seeks applicants for the Fellowships at Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning in Ann Arbor, MI
“These fellowships, among the oldest and most recognized of their kind, are designed for early-career scholars and practitioners looking to deepen their work in a dynamic academic setting. They offer teaching opportunities, resources for project development, and collaboration with a vibrant community of researchers. Fellows will spend two years in residence, typically teaching three classes in their first year and four in their second, while also pursuing their own significant interdisciplinary research projects.”
