Woman charged after $16K in sunglasses stolen from Zona Rosa business
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – One woman has been charged after more than $16,000 in sunglasses were stolen from a Zona Rosa business over the summer.
Records filed with the Platte County, Missouri, Circuit Court on Monday, Oct. 28, have revealed that Dyniesha M. Redmond, 33, of Kansas City, has been charged in connection to the theft of thousands of dollars of sunglasses from a metro area business.
The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department says that just before 11:50 a.m. on July 5, law enforcement officials were called to the Sunglass Hut at 7268 NW 86th Pl. in Zona Rosa, with reports of theft. Surveillance footage revealed Redmond took nearly $8,000 in glasses that were never paid for.

Investigators said they were able to contact Redmond over the phone. During that conversation, she admitted she had stolen the glasses from the business. However, when she did not show up for her scheduled interview, they found she had lied about her place of employment as well.
