Effingham County business summit planned to encourage growth

EFFINGHAM, Ga. (WTOC) – The Catalyst Business Summit, hosted by the Effingham Chamber of Commerce, is less than two weeks away.

WTOC spoke with the chamber’s CEO to learn more about the summit and how it can help small-to-midsized businesses grow.

The more you know, the better your business will grow, that’s what the Catalyst Business Summit is all about.

Effingham Chamber of Commerce CEO Susan Kraut says the event is perfect for small and midsized businesses interested in planting deep roots in the community.

“Whether that’s a restaurant, whether it’s a boutique or it’s a nail salon or any other service entity in our community, understanding how the economy works and what drives growth and how to manage intelligent, effective growth, is what ensures the longevity of their business,” said Kraut.

There will be four Think Talks, including one on redefining company culture and one on the importance of diversity in action.

Workshops, like Intelligence in Action with AI, are also slated for the event.

“We understand some of our small businesses can’t get away for an entire day. We’re very mindful of that, so we’re offering them that as a la cart options. So, if you just really need to get into that networking workshop, you can without having to commit to the entire day,” said Kraut.

Effingham’s industrial sector is experiencing a major growth spurt, drawing in more small-to-midsized businesses than ever before.

Kraut says the industry leader insights, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities are tailor-made to help businesses succeed in the community.

“It was devised because it’s the express needs of out business owners, so I want to make sure it works for them,” said Kraut.

You can visit the chamber’s website for more information on the summit, as well as the link to register for the event.
