Will the Alabama Crimson Tide be on the field today in Week 10 of the 2024 college football schedule?
After a 34-0 shutout victory over the Missouri Tigers at Bryant-Denny Stadium, the Crimson Tide (6-2 overall, 3-2 SEC) are on a bye week and will return to the field on Nov. 9 when Alabama heads to Baton Rouge for its annual showdown with the LSU Tigers in what will be a playoff elimination game for both teams.
LSU (6-2, 3-1) fell to the Texas A&M Aggies, 38-23, in College Station last week to snap a six-game winning streak. The Tigers also have a bye this week and are ranked No. 16 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Alabama is ranked No. 14 in the coaches poll.
Brian Kelly and the Tigers won the last matchup with Alabama in Tiger Stadium when the two teams met in 2022, a 32-31 classic. Jayden Daniels ran for a 25-yard touchdown in overtime and then hit tight end Mason Taylor for a game-winning 2-point conversion. It was LSU’s first win over Alabama in Baton Rouge since 2010.
Last year, Alabama tamed the Tigers 42-28 in Tuscaloosa. Jalen Milroe would certainly take a repeat performance of that game when the two teams play again next week. Milroe rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns and threw for 219 more against LSU last November.
Kickoff for Alabama-LSU was announced earlier this week. The Tide and Tigers will play at 6:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ABC.
