Division 1

Bay Port 61, Sheboygan North 12

SUAMICO – The Pirates scored early and often as they cruised to the second-round playoff win over the Golden Raiders.

Bay Port led 21-6 after one, 35-6 at intermission and 48-6 after three quarters.

Matt Stevens led the Pirates, completing 14 of 21 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns, while Brady Moon carried eight times for 98 yards and two scores.

Bay Port rolled up 456 total yards, while limiting Sheboygan North to just 141 yards.

The second-seeded Pirates (9-2) will face top-seeded Milwaukee Marquette (10-1) in a third-round matchup at Hart Park on Friday.

Sheboygan North finishes its season at 7-4.

Division 6

Coleman 7, Abbotsford 6

COLEMAN – The top-seeded Cougars held off a late Falcons charge to earn the second-round victory and advance to next week’s matchup against second-seeded Bonduel.

Abbotsford had a chance to win the game in the final seconds but missed a 28-yard field goal attempt on the last play.

The Falcons finish at 8-3, while Coleman moves to 11-0.

Andrew Brodhagen opened the scoring for Abbotsford, catching a 24-yard touchdown pass from Christian Fuentes. The extra point was blocked and the Falcons took a 6-0 lead into halftime.

Coleman took the lead for good in the third quarter when Micah Kuchta tossed an 8-yard scoring strike to Kolton Peters. Tristan Kostreva kicked the extra point for what proved to be the winning margin.

The defenses dominated as Abbotsford managed 260 total yards, including 216 on the ground, while the Cougars mustered 163 total yards, including 151 on the ground.
