Former World Champion Taking WWE Absence: Report
After finishing one of the best feuds in professional wrestling at Hell in a Cell, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been absent from WWE television.
On the episode of Raw after Hell in a Cell, Punk addressed the fans, letting them know that he needed a break after their brutal and incredible match.

However, McIntyre has been oddly silent, which is odd for someone who was normally so active on social media.
According to reports, there is a good reason fans haven’t heard from the Scottish Psychopath.
Fightful Select recently reported that, despite being absent from WWE TV, McIntyre “seems to be doing well.” That being said, he needs some time for himself.
“During the Hell in a Cell match, McIntyre sustained a large laceration that led to a dozen staples to close the injury,” Fightful Select said.
Anyone who watched the match could tell how brutal it was. WWE even shared McIntyre having his head stapled on social media.
That being said, there appears to be a more personal reason that McIntyre is taking a break from the squared circle.
“McIntyre already would have required time off for that to heal, but we’re told that he’s also been in Europe visiting family. McIntyre shared recently that he’d experienced some personal losses.”
While there was no elaboration on what these personal losses are, it’s clear that it’s important to McIntyre, as well as it should be.
