Notre Dame statistical leaders through eight games
At the beginning of the season, many saw Notre Dame’s game against Florida State as one of great importance. It was considered prominent enough that it became the only prime-time game scheduled at Notre Dame Stadium this season. Since then, the luster for this game has greatly diminished.
The Seminoles are entering this contest with a 1-8 record, so it won’t help the Irish’s College Football Playoff hopes as much as it once seemed it would. Instead, a loss would kill any remaining chance at the playoff. So the Irish just have to focus on winning the game so that they can stay in the conversation.
With the Irish having not played this past weekend, there’s a chance you might have forgotten who exactly is leading them from a statistical standpoint. Even if you haven’t, it still is a good idea to begin this week with a look at those leaders. So without further adieu, here they are:
Passing
Riley Leonard: 131 for 198 (66.2%), 1,360 yards, 6.9 yards a pass attempt, eight touchdowns, three interceptions
