World Wide Technology Championship 2024 PGA Odds, Picks And Props In Mexico

Following the presidential election in the U.S., the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall Series continues in Mexico with the sixth tournament of a eight-event series. The World Wide Technology Championship will take place Nov. 7-10 at El Cardonal at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for the second straight year.

Designed by Tiger Woods in 2014 with assistance from Davis Love III, the 7,435 yard Par 72 oceanside course has huge oversized, undulating Platinum paspalum greens (ave. 8,300 sq. ft), no rough (sandy, native areas) and just one hole with water. New bunker sand (48 holes) was installed this year and the generous fairways average 60 yards wide. The course offers dramatic long-range views of the Pacific Ocean, and the ocean breeze is the only natural defense from players tearing through the course with birdies in bunches.

As you watch and wager on the event and follow your players of interst finishing position, five Par 4’s at 460 yards or longer rank among the six most difficult scoring holes on the course at hole numbers 4, 7, 8, 13 and 15. The Par 5’s at No. 1 and No. 18 produce the most birdies and greater than 57% of players made birdie on those holes last year (3-5% eagles).

While the field is lacking stars by PGA standards, scores will still be low as last year nine players posted scores of -20 under par in the event. That included champion Erik van Rooyen (-27), who shot a sizzling 63 on Sunday with seven birdies on the back nine to track down runner up Matt Kuchar.

A total of 12 players in the field rank in the top-80 of the Official World Golf Rankings after the highest-ranked player Cameron Young (33) withdrew Wednesday.
