Woman charged for theft of now-closed Country Club Plaza business
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – One woman has been charged in connection to the theft of hundreds of dollars in items from a Country Club Plaza business that has since closed.
Documents filed with the Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court on Friday, Nov. 8, indicate that Tiara l. Arther, 29, of Kansas City, has been charged in connection to the theft of hundreds of dollars in North Face items from a now-closed Country Club Plaza business.
Court records revealed that on Nov. 2, 2023, Arther allegedly held an employee of Moosejaw at gunpoint as she stole around $750 in North Face items. The business was located at 439 W. 47th St. on the Country Club Plaza at the time.
As a result, Arther has been charged with harassment, armed criminal action and stealing. She could spend up to 26 years in prison and pay a $20,000 fine if found guilty. A warrant has not yet been issued for arrest and she does not appear to be behind bars. A pre-trial conference is expected to be held at 10 a.m. on Dec. 20.
