Krispy Kreme is celebrating World Kindness Day by giving away a dozen glazed doughnuts to the first 500 customers — in-store or drive-thru — at each participating location Wednesday.
The only Krispy Kreme location in the Milwaukee area is in West Allis, at 2900 S. 108th St. It opens at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
World Kindness Day is celebrated every year on Nov. 13. Launched by the World Kindness Movement in 1998, it’s about “celebrating good deeds in our communities because kindness is what unites us all.”
“World Kindness Day is a reminder that we can all make a positive impact in people’s lives, including through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, said in a news release. “We hope that each dozen Original Glazed doughnuts we give away enables and inspires many dozens of small acts of kindness.”
