JCC celebrates food from around the world
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – A taste of the world came to Jefferson Community College on Wednesday.
It’s the second time the college has held its international food festival. Hosted by various clubs on campus, it featured dishes from around the planet including Asia, Europe and Mexico.
Some of the food was purchased from international-themed restaurants in the area. Other offerings were made by staff and faculty as well as international students, like Brodie Finnie from Scotland, who made Scottish tablet.
“It’s like a less caramelly, more sugary fudge. It’s just pure sugar, but it tastes lovely,” he said.
The event was free for students.
