Thanksgiving week set to be busiest travel time of the year

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Thanksgiving week is known as the busiest airline travel time of the year and the beginning of the holiday travel season.

Minot International Airport is advising the public to keep some things in mind ahead of time if they’re traveling, to make their trip go smoothly.

Airport leadership said those traveling domestically should arrive at least one hour before their flight departs.

Those going internationally should arrive at least two hours before departure.

When bringing over some gifts, they say to use gift bags instead of wrapping them as wrapped gifts can set off security screening alarms.

In regards to parking at the airport, vehicle plugins are available in the long-term lot in the event of cold weather.

For flight updates, check primarily with your airline and www.motairport.com.
