I’m Extremely Here for Daniel Craig’s Quirky New Fashion Era
Think of Daniel Craig, and the image that likely comes to mind is the actor in one of James Bond’s impeccably sleek suits; he did spend years, after all, portraying the iconic British agent onscreen. But flash forward to 2024, and Craig’s red carpet style has little in common with Bond’s go-to tuxedos. While promoting his latest project, Luca Guadagnino’s Queer, this month, Craig has instead been opting for quirkier, more singular looks.
Working with Taylor McNeill, Craig has leveled up his red-carpet style with suiting that feels fresh, modern, and never too try-hard. His looks are so good, in fact, that there is now an Instagram account devoted to them: What’s Daniel (Craig) Wearing. Take his outfit at the Los Angeles premiere for Queer last night: The star wore a gray pinstriped suit from Loewe, a casual white tee, low-top sneakers, and a saucy little pair of yellow-tinted shades.
Sunglasses actually seem to be emerging as one of his red-carpet signatures: Just consider the oversized aviators he wore in Venice back in September, or the blue-tinted pair he wore to a BAFTAs party just last month. A style star is born.
Of course, these recent fashion hits are far from Craig’s first foray into icon territory. Back in September, he made waves online when he stepped out in Paris to attend the Loewe spring 2025 show with his wife, Rachel Weisz. The duo wore complementary statement knits for the occasion, Weisz in a bold color-blocked style and Craig in a multicolor hand-knit turtleneck featuring the art of Richard Hawkins. Completed with a slouchy leather jacket, baggy cargo pants, and (again) his yellow tinted shades, the whole look strayed about as far from a simple suit as it could go. And thank God for that! We love that the actor is taking a more distinctive approach to dressing. Bring on the off-kilter and the kooky.
