When 2-year-old Liam saw his grandma arrive at Peoria International Airport in Illinois, he just couldn’t control his excitement, jumping in his father’s arms and almost looking a cartoon character from Looney Tunes.

Liam and his grandma, Julie Bielfeldt, or “Gam Gam” as he calls her, only live a few hundred miles apart, but hadn’t seen each other for quite a while. As soon as Liam caught sight of her arriving at the airport, he couldn’t wait to sprint into Gam Gam’s open arms, his legs whirling around like the famous Looney Tunes character in the “Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner” cartoon series as his father, Meyers Leonard, held him.

“Growing up, she always created magic [for Liam] with her imagination,” Liam’s mom, Elle Leonard said. “She brings so much playfulness to life that it’s no wonder my son adores her…If it were up to Liam, his Grandma would live right next door.”

A mother dropped to her knees with joy when she was reunited with her son after two years apart.

Haydee Buking and her husband moved to Australia in 2019, while her son, Climson Buking Jr., was living in New Zealand. Then the pandemic hit.

Both countries had strict rules to prevent the virus from spreading and Haydee and Climson were unable to see each other in person for two years. When the borders reopened, Climson decided to surprise his mom, who was overwhelmed with emotion when she saw him.

Patience, kindness, and love were on display when an older brother taught his sister to cycle down a backyard ramp in Greenville, South Carolina.

April Scully, the children’s mom, said her son started by guiding his sister down a lower ramp before encouraging her to go for the big one.

After her excited daughter made it down safely, Scully was bursting with pride, saying, “Nothing fills my heart like watching him teach her something. I’m happy he knows he can teach. And teaching makes him happy.”
