Cool cars, state fair finale and paranormal fun in Shreveport, Bossier this weekend
We finally have a weekend filled with sunshine ahead of us, and if you’ve forgotten what fun in the sun (or a day off) is like, here’s a little help.
The circus is in town at Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport. Cirque Paranormal is promising to be both thrilling and haunting, and we have no reason to doubt them.
The big top is already set up and waiting, and they have shows planned at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, and 7:30 p.m. Monday. Tickets range from $20 to $65.
What a nice weekend to enjoy the State Fair of Louisiana! This is the final weekend of the fair, and it’s a big one.
Friday night, in addition to the food, rides and free events, you can enjoy the Casey Martin Band on the entertainment stage at 8 p.m.
Saturday is the always vivacious, musical Latino Day. Special performances are scheduled including Las Chicas Roland, La Actualidad Norteña, Chon Arauza, and Los Primos Nueva Generacion. In addition, brave members of the audience can take part in a singing contest.
The popular car show at the Louisiana Boardwalk returns on Saturday. The Cajun Cruisers will be lining up beginning at 2 p.m., but the car show officially runs from 4 to 9 p.m.
It’s $25 to register your ride in the show, but walking around and admiring all the cool cars is free.
