Owners Chris and Robin Derenberger cut the ribbon Tuesday at their store, Survival Ridge, in the Grand Central Mall. Survival Ridge opened in October in a 1,324-square-foot space next to the Rally House. Survival Ridge is intended to serve the needs of preppers, campers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of survival products, including solar-powered lighting, portable solar panels, survival kits and personal defense items. The store also has a large selection of freeze-dried candies and an in-store freeze dryer, producing freshly freeze-dried candy daily, along with freeze-dryers and accessories for home or business use.
