Joe Biden: Donald Trump Jr accuses Joe Biden of triggering World War III over US missiles being used by Ukraine | World News – Times of India

Donald Trump Jr said on Sunday that the US support for Ukraine represents an attempt by the President Joe Biden administration to initiate a major conflict before Donald Trump assumes the presidency in January.
On Monday, President Joe Biden, 81, granted permission for Ukrainian forces to utilise American-provided long-range missiles for strikes within Russian territory, significantly shifting from his previous conflict-reduction strategies.
Trump Jr, 46, posted on social media that the defence establishment aims to destabilise his father’s upcoming presidency by escalating the conflict.
“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” he tweeted.
“Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!,” his post read further.
Biden’s authorisation allows Ukrainian forces to deploy US-manufactured Army Tactical Missile Systems in the Kursk region, situated along the northeastern border between the nations. These missiles possess a range of approximately 190 miles with substantial explosive capability.
Ukraine indicated its readiness to utilise the newly authorised weapons shortly, following extended requests for permission to employ American missiles amidst significant military setbacks.
February marks three years since Russia’s invasion, which resulted in numerous Ukrainian civilian casualties.
Trump, 78, has committed to ending the conflict. Following his electoral victory this month, the president-elect communicated with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
“As President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together in order to negotiate peace, and work towards ending the war and stopping the killing,” Trump’s communications director Steven Cheung informed The Post.
The incoming president has yet to disclose specific details regarding his strategy to conclude the war.
Among Trump’s five children, Trump Jr maintains the strongest connection to his father’s political endeavours and reportedly holds significant influence in the transition team, particularly regarding the selection of controversial cabinet appointments.
