Jennifer Lawrence Wears a Bodycon Maternity Gown to the Governor Awards

Last night, the 2024 Governor Awards, put on by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, saw a star-studded turnout in Hollywood. Considered as the first major event to kick off awards season, a slew of A-listers (many of whom are 2025 Oscar contenders) attended the event in grand style. The red carpet saw stars like Angelina Jolie, Selena Gomez, Colman Domingo, Saoirse Ronan, and Jennifer Lawrence deliver some impeccable evening fashions. But it was Lawrence who especially turned heads in her slinky bodycon gown—redefining what maternity fashion can and should look like in the process.

Lawrence’s brown sleeveless Bottega Veneta design featured gold hardware accents, and was draped in all the right places; It suits the star’s current stealthily-chic wardrobe. (See: her Alaïa LBD). With its curve-hugging silhouette, the Bottega number proudly displayed her baby bump, and proved that mom-to-be style can be comfy and sexy. (Lawrence also wore a vintage Christian Lacroix gown earlier this week—she is on a roll!) Her gold accents, meanwhile, like the Ana Khouri jewelry and woven golden Bottega clutch, perfectly complemented the look. She was one of the night’s best dressed.
