American AgCredit appoints 5 to executive team

As an agriculture lender operating in seven states, American AgCredit names five in key roles for the Sonoma County-based organization.

American AgCredit announced appointing five members of its executive team for the Santa Rosa-based farm credit organization.

Lynn Scherler will serve as chief banking officer, bringing 22 years of specific farm credit system experience out of 25 years in banking overall.

Scherler was the chief alliance officer before making the move, replacing Gary Van Schuyver as chief banking officer. Van Schuyver is retiring.

Mike Lancaster has been named as chief customer value officer. He will focus on nurturing long-term collaborations with farmers and ranchers to maintain client profitability.

Prior to this post, Lancaster managed regional banking teams.

Dave Hoyt has joined American AgCredit as chief transformation officer, a post that prioritizes the organization’s efforts and strategies.

Hoyt enters this job with 30 years of experience as a strategic adviser and consultant.

Matt Jacobs has accepted the role of chief delivery officer, a position where he will execute business strategy.

Jacobs came on board American AgCredit in 2021, having led multiple teams and organizational initiatives relative to business operations.

Luke Massey was tapped as chief business technology officer to ensure emerging technology will be used to advance company initiatives.

Massey comes to the position with a proven track record as the executive head of business technology where he led digital advancements for the agriculture lender.

Chartered in 1916, American AgCredit is a nationwide farm credit system, providing financial services with operations in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, New Mexico, Nevada and Oklahoma.
