Shopping small can give big Christmas to others through Least of These Ministries
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Small Business Saturday is the perfect opportunity to shop for a cause.
Least of These Ministries is bringing vendors together to help you wrap up your gift list – and help them bless others.
April McNeil and Makayla Cadet, who is a junior at Highland Park High School, visited Eye on NE Kansas to share details on the Shop Small for a Big Christmas event.
More than 30 vendors will be on hand, offering a variety of gift items. They’ll also have a Christmas shoppe, offering new and used holiday decorations.
Makayla will be among the vendors. She plans to sell a variety of baked goods, listing cookies as her specialty.
The organization will use proceeds from the event to adopt several families from Highland Park High School, as well as the residents at Mission Towers senior facility and young people at the Shawnee Co. Juvenile Detention Center.
The Shop Small for a Big Christmas event is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1701 SW Collins. People may come to shop, or drop off donations of money or gift items. Watch the interview to hear some of the items requested.
Vendors also may register for a booth fee of $20. Call 785-422-8171 or email leastoftheseministriesmatt2540@gmail.com for information.
