Now Here’s a Stylish Pair of Heeled Boots That Don’t Skimp on Comfort
Some woman love their handbags, others adore their well-curated shoe collection. I fall firmly in the latter category. I’m a shoe girl through-and-through, but over the last year or so, I’ve began to follow a strict 3-strikes-and-out rule when I buy a new pair. Allow me to explain further: If I experience any discomfort after wearing new shoes for the first time, I give them a another two chances because sometimes shoes—especially those made of leather—do need some breaking into. If I continue to feel any pain or get blisters after the third wear… you get the point. So, yes, when I do my shoe shopping or am testing for Town & Country stories, I am very particular about who and where I buy from.
About two years ago, I began getting tons of Instagram ads from a Spanish-made shoe brand called Inez and a big selling point was how comfortable its heels were. The styles were gorgeous, but if I am being honest, I was a bit skeptical because you know how Instagram ads are, they’re very much hit or miss. But when the brand reached out to me to last fall about testing their boots, I decided to give them a go. Reader, it’s been a year since I’ve acquired my first Inez pair and can confirm they are truly one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever walked in.
I decided on the Mila boots. They are a shaft-style, pointed-toe boot that hits mid-calf and features a 2.8-inch heel that’s crazy walkable, but the real star of the silhouette is the insole. Every shoe from the brand has proprietary plush insole made of luxe kidskin-leather lining and layers of foam technology. I’ve done my fair share of hopping around in the Mila boots, going from breakfast meeting to office to appointment to back to office to dinner event, and never experienced any pain. You know a shoe is that good when you don’t feel discomfort. That’s major.
Comfort aside, the Mila’s are just a beautiful, well-made pair of boots. I chose the Espresso Snake Emboss because I love the burgundy-brown shade it comes in and incorporating texture into my looks, but you can also choose from a suede option and smooth pairs crafted of luxe Italian leather. I dress mine up, I dress mine down, I wear mine with literally everything: skirts, dresses, jeans, dress pants. They’re truly so versatile and have become my fall-back boots when I can’t find decide on the right kind of shoes to wear with my outfit of the day.
While I admittedly have too many boots to count, I’m so impressed by Inez that I may add another pair to my collection. Maybe the Paloma in Chestnut Suede or Belen in Currant Calf… or maybe even both. That’s how much I approve of this brand.
