Will Power’s Verizon IndyCar Livery Unveiled On FOX Sports NFL Sunday

A stunning new paint scheme for two-time NTT IndyCar Series Champion and 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner Will Power was unveiled on Sunday, November 24 on “FOX Sports NFL Sunday.”

The striking red, yellows and white livery will hit the track for the first time at the 2025 season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg when Verizon, Power and Team Penske begin their 17th season together, marking one of the longest-running partnerships in motorsports.

“Verizon continues to utilize motorsports to reach their customers as one of the most recognizable brands within the NTT IndyCar Series,” Team Penske President Tim Cindric said. “This new livery represents the beginning of another chapter in the long-standing partnership of Team Penske, Verizon and Will Power.

“Verizon is a leader in their industry, and we take a great deal of pride in the successes we have had together on and off the race track.”

Unveiled On FOX NFL Sunday

The unique livery was unveiled during the NFL doubleheader weekend on FOX. The network will debut as the new broadcast partner for the NTT IndyCar Series in 2025.

FOX is the new television home of the NTT IndyCar Series and this was the latest example of outstanding cross-promotion on its other sports properties.

When Power’s car was unveiled, Pro Football Hall of Famer and four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers told FOX NFL Sunday host Curt Menafee, “Nice number, Curt. Nice number.”

Bradshaw wore No. 12 when he played for the Steelers.

“How do you get in,” fellow Pro Football Hall of Famer Howie Long asked.

“I can’t get into it either, but I’ll show you the car I’m getting into,” Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan said as he walked over to the car he will drive as the Pace Car driver of the 109th Indianapolis 500, a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

Verizon Branding A Bold, New Look

The 2025 paint scheme reflects the new Verizon branding that was rolled out during the summer to coincide with the energy and vibrancy of how Verizon powers the way people live, work and play. It is a notable change from prior liveries that Power has driven since making his IndyCar Series debut for Team Penske in 2009.

Power has produced 40 of his 44 career IndyCar Series wins in Verizon colors.

“This bold, new livery reflects a new chapter in our partnership, showcasing the evolution of our brand and enduring connection with race fans,” said Nick Kelly, VP of Partnerships at Verizon. “We’re excited to continue this journey with one of the sport’s most accomplished teams.”

Power continues to add to a legendary IndyCar Series career that places him as the all-time leader in pole positions with 70 and sole possession of fourth place on the all-time wins list with 44.

His 41 wins throughout his Team Penske career is fifth on a list of legendary drivers that have competed for the team. A total of 12 drivers have won multiple IndyCar championships for Team Penske, with both of Power’s titles coming behind the wheel of the No. 12 Verizon entry.

“It goes without saying that I owe so much of my success to Verizon,” Power said. “They have been with me throughout my time at Team Penske, with a lot of success both on and off the track.

“We have run a variety of paint schemes in that time, but never one that stands out quite like this one. New paint schemes keep things fresh and add an extra level of excitement to an already exciting time to be in the NTT IndyCar Series.”

The first race for the new-look No. 12 Verizon Chevrolet is the season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on March 2, 2025, on FOX.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ) powers and empowers how its millions of customers live, work and play, delivering on their demand for mobility, reliable network connectivity and security.

Headquartered in New York City, serving countries worldwide, Verizon generated revenues of $134.0 billion in 2023. Verizon’s world-class team never stops innovating to meet customers where they are today and equip them for the needs of tomorrow.
