The Youth Entertainment Showcase aims to provide a platform for young artists to express their talents and share their remarkable abilities with a wider audience. Participants have the opportunity to compete for top honors.
Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place winners in each category. Every participant will receive a token of appreciation for their efforts.
The deadline for youth aged 5-18 to enter the showcase is Dec. 8. Those interested in participating or for more information contact Xpreesha Outreach via email at xpreeshaoutreach@gmail.com.
The Showcase is a major fundraiser for Xpreesha Outreach and has enjoyed many successes throughout its nine-year run.
The 2024 High School Scholarship Fund recipient was Lawrence Taylor. He met all the scholarship application requirements and thanks to the help of the community and past sponsors, such as Urban Power Connections who matched scholarship amount, Xpreesha Outreach was able to make this happen. Taylor’s scholarship will go toward his college education at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Donations by local businesses, companies and contributors have generously supported this event throughout the years.
Organizers say their donations have been instrumental in giving back to the talented participants and fostering a stronger community. Xpreesha Outreach aims to continue supporting and promoting the growth of youth, local events and organizations. Plans are already underway for the high school scholarship fund, which will once again be issued in 2025. Organizers ask for the community to consider sponsorships or donations by contacting Dee Dee Jose at (910) 978-7313.
