Homewood Business Association Toasts Holiday Season With Fashion Show
HOMEWOOD, IL — The Homewood Business Association (HBA) kicked off the holiday season with their Holiday Fashion Show on November 10, held at La Banque Hotel. Forty guests were treated to a full breakfast, Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and a special parting gift bag. The participating HBA retail stores, Anjel’s Boutique, Art 4 Soul, Eighner’s Florist, Loulou Belle, UpsaDaisy Boutique and Van Sipma Jewelers, showcased the finest in fall/winter apparel and accessories. The HBA partnered with Open Access with a winter coat collection. Eighner’s Florist donated two holiday floral designs and the HBA donated a gift basket for the fashion show raffle.
The HBA is preparing for Small Business Saturday on November 30. Small Business Saturday (aka Shop Small Saturday) encourages consumers to shop at independently owned businesses.
“This is a great way to show appreciation for our locally owned, small businesses in Homewood,” said Lisa Komorowski, President of the HBA and owner of Loulou Belle.
Downtown Homewood will be abuzz with holiday shoppers and joyful decorations. Festive music will be provided by Black Soldier DJ from 1 to 4 p.m. Each HBA retailer may have store different hours, please refer to the website explorehomewood.net for store hours and information.
Once shoppers have checked off their holiday buying list, they can warm up and enjoy holiday food and drinks at one of the many HBA restaurants: Aurelio’s Pizza, Bergstein’s NY Deli, Grady’s Snack n’ Dine, The Ridgewood and Twisted Q BBQ.
Save the date for the HBA’s inaugural Candlelight Shopping on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. HBA shops will dim their lights for a shopping experience by candlelight. The evening starts at LaBanque Hotel for wine tasting provided by Family Wine & Liquor and caroling from Bel Canto Choir.
