Police investigate after Amarillo business owner shot, robbed

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An Amarillo business owner was hospitalized after a shooting and potential robbery early Sunday morning.

Amarillo police responded to a shooting and possible robbery at about 3:16 a.m. in the 7900 block of Goldenview Circle.

Officers talked to the victim and his wife who said he was shot in the driveway by an unknown person.

The victim, a local business owner, was carrying cash that is now missing.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
