Baldur’s Gate 3 to Get an Update with 12 New Subclasses & Cross-Play

Baldur’s Gate 3 will get a huge update, known as Patch 8, with 12 new subclasses, cross-play, and photo mode in 2025.

The update adds one new subclass for each of the existing classes, which are Bard, Barbarian, Cleric, Druid, Paladin, Fighter, Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard. The upcoming subclasses feature novel abilities, VFX, and animations.

The list of new subclasses:

• Bard – College of Glamour
• Barbarian – Path of Giants
• Cleric – Death Domain
• Druid – Circle of Stars
• Paladin – Oath of the Crown
• Fighter – Arcane Archer
• Monk – Drunken Master
• Ranger – Swarmkeeper
• Rogue – Swashbuckler
• Sorcerer – Shadow Magic
• Warlock – Hexblade
• Wizard – Bladesinging.
