Best Buy deal price: $350; street price: $475
Amazon deal price: $350; street price: $475

What we like: Our top pick for the best 4K TV on a budget. The new version of our current top pick (stay tuned for the new write-up). The U6N is brighter, maintains better black levels, achieves higher color saturation, and is better for gaming, with less input lag.

Hisense U7N Series LCD/LED TV (55-Inch) — Budget Pick
Amazon deal price: $480; street price: $650
Best Buy deal price: $480; street price: $650

What we like: The 55-inch size of our budget LCD/LED TV pick. Has a lower price point than our top pick while offering a similar level of quality and almost identical features. Dispels a fair amount of screen reflections. Runs on Google TV, our favorite smart-TV platform.

Other things to know: Brightness and black-level performance isn’t as good as our top pick’s. As with most LCD TVs, not the best horizontal viewing angles. Looks better with 4K HDR video than it does with lower-resolution sources. We disliked the flimsy stand design.

Sony A95L Series OLED TV (65-Inch) — Upgrade Pick
eBay deal price: $2,500; street price: $3,300

What we like: Our upgrade pick for the best OLED TV is the best-looking TV of 2024. Truly excels at reproducing content as the director intended. Peak brightness is on par with that of our other picks, but it offers better color accuracy, better upscaling of non-4K content, better video processing, and better built-in speakers.

Other things to know: Has higher input lag and fewer HDMI 2.1 inputs than our other picks. A few hitches in the menu software occasionally marred the user experience. Could still benefit from a soundbar or surround sound system. Lowest price we’ve seen; use promo code SHOPCYBER20.
