Titans partner with Street Works to educate community for World AIDS Day
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Titans are partnering with a nonprofit to help educate the public about HIV and AIDS in honor of World AIDS Day.
Street Works provides education, prevention and care to those affected by the disease.
On Sunday, the nonprofit is working with the Titans to educate the community.
“We are excited to partner with the Tennessee Titans as we focus on combating HIV/AIDS and promoting harm reduction strategies, all while raising awareness in our community,” Street Works said.
Although the Titans will be facing the Washington Commanders in an away game, Street Works is inviting Music City to the club levels of Nissan Stadium to watch the game and help save lives. The Gateway Bridge will be lit up red for World AIDS Day.
Street Works has been serving the community for nearly 30 years.
“We practice making sure that we reduce the harm and not the person. Because everyone deserves to have a full life regardless of any imperfections they may have,” Sharon Hurt, executive director and CEO of Street Works said.
Tickets for the event are $50, but all proceeds will go to help those affected by AIDS.
