Lego’s December Releases Enter a Brave New World

The gift-giving season is upon us, and while there’s plenty of Lego you from this year that you could be wrapping to put under the Christmas tree this year, Lego’s not dropping all that much in the form of new sets this December. What is there, however, is sure to please Marvel fans looking forward to Captain America: Brave New World in a few months.

Yes, new sets for this final month of 2024–before Lego’s annual January deluge, with tons of new sets set to drop from January 1 in 2025–are largely dominated by the first small releases for the next Marvel movie. But that’s not all, if you count a very special set dropping today as part of Lego’s Black Friday deals. Check them out below!

While it’s not technically a December 2024 set, Lego’s traditional drop of a big new set to kick off its Black Friday sales is coming in the form of an epic ship from the pages of history: Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance. Clocking in at over 3,000 pieces, the latest entry in the Lego Icons series faithfully recreates the ship as it looked before its doomed journey to the Antarctic, complete with a small stand to display it on in all its glory. Rounding out the actual December 2024 releases then are a trio of new sets based around the upcoming Captain America movie, across multiple Lego lines. First up is a two-pack of chibi-styled BrickHeadz depicting Sam in his new suit and the Red Hulk, then there’s a more traditional playset recruiting a few more figures for Sam’s scrap with the President, and then lastly there’s the latest entry in Lego’s buildable action figure line–complete with foil wings that can be bent and posed for Sam to take flight.
