Police intercept possible deadly domestic violence shooting at business
METROPOLIS, Ill. (KFVS) – Police and deputies intercepted a possible deadly domestic violence shooting at a Metropolis business on Monday, November 25.
According to Metropolis Police, officers were alerted that a man armed with a gun was believed to be on his way to his wife’s place of employment to kill her.
Police said officers and Massac County Sheriff’s deputies were able to intercept the suspect during a traffic stop.
During the traffic stop, officers reported the suspect had a handgun.
Police identified the suspect as 56-year-old David L. Doublin, of Karnak.
Doublin was arrested and booked into the Massac County Detention Center on aggravated assault, unlawful use/possession of a weapon and UUW of a weapon after being denied a FOID card.
