Cheryl Burke says her favorite ‘DWTS’ partners were ‘spoiled brats’
Cheryl Burke has finally revealed which of her 24 partners across 26 seasons on Dancing With the Stars were her favorites — and they might surprise you.
“I’ve done 20-something seasons, and I’ve had quite a lot of partners,” Burke said on a recent episode of her Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans podcast. “Though I danced with Emmitt Smith twice, I have to say, actually, I had the most fun… I was shockingly surprised, I guess. I didn’t expect to have such a great season like I did with Jack Osbourne and Rob Kardashian.”
Burke said that she loves “when my expectations going in aren’t very high, and it’s shocking at the end how far we got. Their reputations, my judgment of these two people, Jack and Rob, they were, in a way, spoiled brats when I witnessed them on MTV, and witnessed Rob on The Kardashians when he was younger. But these two men, they’re totally not what you would expect… I just love the fact that we got along, and they didn’t take themselves too seriously.”
Burke has danced with singers, soap stars, cabaret performers, models, politicians, anchormen, and comedians. But she explains that “I tend to like, and I tend to gravitate and enjoy my seasons when it’s with a reality star or an athlete, but mainly a reality star.”
Kardashian is the fourth and youngest child of lawyer Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner, and formerly a star of the long-running, empire-launching reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Osbourne also comes from famous stock, as the youngest child of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon. He appeared on all four seasons of the family reality show The Osbournes.

Burke explained that the secret to Kardashian and Osbourne’s success as amateur dance partners is that the reality stars are “so used to cameras in their face that they don’t try and be another person. They are just who they are because cameras don’t faze them… The fact that people were betting against us and we made it to the finals is pretty spectacular. Both of those partnerships are memories that I will take with me and cherish forever.”
Burke busted out the gate her first two seasons on Dancing With the Stars, taking home the mirrorball trophy for seasons 2 and 3. She’d never again win the competition, but she made it to the finals several times, including with Osbourne (3rd) and Kardashian (2nd).
For what it’s worth, Entertainment Weekly readers voted in 2013 that Osbourne and Burke should win season 13, but they were eventually edged out by Amber Riley and Derek Hough.
