Iowa State Patrol chase restricted travel on east I-235 during morning commute

DMPD sent an alert at about 8:07 a.m. Tuesday asking drivers to avoid the roadway. Police said at about 8:33 a.m. the chase ended west of the Des Moines area and travel could resume.

West Des Moines police had multiple squad cars blocking the eastbound Interstate 80 on ramps at Jordan Creek Parkway shortly after 8 a.m. as traffic backed up in the area.
