4 fitness studios that opened in the Heights, River Oaks and Montrose in the last year

For Houstonians looking to do pilates, yoga or support their body through a sauna lounge, check out these four fitness-related businesses that opened in the past year.

Löyly Sauna Lounge

Contrast therapy center Löyly Sauna Lounge is inspired by the ancient Finnish sauna tradition of alternating between cold and hot plunges. The session involves customers cycling from a 38 degree cold water immersion to a 104 degree hot tub soak, with the experience ending with a 170-degree sauna.

Ritual One

Fitness studio Ritual One is opening its first Houston location in Uptown Park this December, the studio’s first expansion out of Dallas. The studio combines a variety of popular workout methods including hot pilates, power yoga, inferno flow, HIIT and power sculpt. All fitness classes take place in an infrared-heated studio that ranges from 95 to 102 degrees.

Onesweat Pilates

A luxury pilates facility, Onesweat has modern reformers with 50 minute classes that consist of full-body, core and mobility-focused exercises. The Heights location opened in early September as the second Houston mainstay. The pilates studio also has another location in River Oaks at 3300 Kirby Drive, Ste. 8A, Houston.
