New entertainment venue Pins Mechanical to replace Moeller Brew Barn in downtown Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — Moeller Brew Barn took to Facebook Friday morning to share it will be closing its Dayton location in just over two weeks on Monday, December 23.

According to the post, the closure is a result of what the brewery says are external challenges. All booked events between now and the 22 will be honored and the Maria Stein location will still be open. Moeller also thanked its customers for their support.

However, as this brewery closes its doors, another is ready to open. Pins Mechanical Company will be moving into Moeller’s location on First Street, across from Day-Air Ballpark. According to a news release on Crawford Hoying’s website, the Water Street District’s developer, the new Dayton location will have two floors of games and gathering places, including several bars and multiple bowling lanes. Dayton 24/7 Now’s Gwyneth Falloon spoke with Pins Mechanical’s owners, Rise Brands, about why they chose Dayton.

“We’re really excited about the area. The baseball field, the dragons are right across the street,” said vice president of marketing and creative, Erin Frum. “You’ll be able to sit up on our second floor patio, overlook the stadium, watch the game, and I think that this is going to be a great place for us to expand our footprint in the Dayton area. It’s a new market for us.”

As for when you can expect to see this new business open, Rise Brands said it hopes to welcome Daytonians to Pins Mechanical by April of 2025. This will mark its eleventh location nationwide.
