Hero World Challenge: Justin Thomas leads Scottie Scheffler with one round remaining

Justin Thomas will take a one-shot lead over Scottie Scheffler into Sunday’s final round of the Hero World Challenge after shooting a bogey-free six-under 66.

World number one Scheffler missed a birdie putt on the 18th as he signed for a 69 at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas to improve to 16 under par.

South Korea’s Tom Kim moved up seven places to third with a 10-under-par 62. Kim was 11 under for his round after 16 holes but a double-bogey five at the par-three 17th ended any hopes of equalling the course record of 61.

However, he did hole a bunker shot at the last to finish with an unlikely birdie and is just two behind Thomas on 15 under.

US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley continued his fine form with bogey-free 68 that left him four off the pace on 13 under.

Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre had a topsy-turvy closing six holes, mixing four birdies with two bogeys as he shot a 68 to end on nine under.

England’s Aaron Rai shot a 72 to stay at two under and is joint 14th in the 20-man field.
