Children’s Business Fair returns to Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Young entrepreneurs from across Southwest Louisiana will be displaying their ideas this weekend at the Action Business Fair. We spoke with Erin-Beth Carther this morning along with Bray and Grayson Ward to get the details.

The Acton Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneurs. The fair is the largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America, this one-day market gives children the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses.

Each year, a crew of judges walks through the rows of the fair, visiting each assigned booth to chat with the participants about their business and/or product. Judges get together and decide on winners from different categories and award the winners some major cash prizes.

Both Bray and Grayson have both been doing the fair for 4 years and each has their own booth and products for the show.

The event is free to the public and will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Burton Coliseum Complex, located at 7001 Gulf Highway in Lake Charles.

For those in attendance, you’ll also be able to enjoy food trucks, live music, a photo booth, and might even catch a special appearance by Santa Claus.

You can find more information about the Action Children’s Business Fair on their Facebook page HERE.
