To give you a sense of what it’s all about, here are six experiences Syracuse Sports Insiders got by being in the club
1. Sound off on the ‘Syracuse Sports’ podcast
Insiders’ opinions and questions are exclusively highlighted on the Syracuse Sports podcast and our popular postgame shows after every SU basketball game.
Not only that, we also invite Syracuse Sports Insiders to come on the podcast!
2. Postgame insight from the home locker room
As soon as I walk out of the Orange locker room following SU basketball games, we’ll text you the most noteworthy responses from players and coaches after every game first.
Whether it’s Adrian Autry upset with his team’s effort in a recent game, Eddie Lampkin discussing how he is dealing with back issues or freshman Elijah Moore and Donnie Freeman explaining how they are acclimating into the flow of the college game, Insiders get that insight sent to their phones before it appeared on syracuse.com or anywhere else.
3. In-Game texts
Don’t worry, we won’t blow up your phone during the game, but I will share observations, opinions and keep you updated on trends and stats you need to know.
Feel free to text me as much as you want during the game! I read every text and love to hear what you are thinking and seeing while you watch SU sports.
As Syracuse basketball gets knee deep into the 2024-25 schedule, Insiders help shape the conversation about the team on the Syracuse Sports podcast.
A recent postgame podcast focused on the honest assessment Insiders gave Autry’s coaching strategy and prompted a passionate discussion on what his “Orange Standard” is and how his coaching strategy is working in the second year of his tenure.
4. Bowl updates
Syracuse is going bowling for the third straight season.
The Orange will travel to San Diego to take on Washington State in the Holiday Bowl, and we’ll keep you updated on everything you need to know with player and coach insights, news of any player opt-outs, insight on the Cougars, travel tips and more.
5. Tracking transfers
Recruiting and the transfer portal seemingly never stop, and we keep you updated on the latest commitments, visits and prospects putting Syracuse on their list of preferred schools.
As Fran Brown looks to reshape his roster for the 2025 season following a 9-3 debut, we’ll keep you up-to-date on players leaving the Orange and looking to join the team out or the transfer portal.
Here’s an example of a recent text Insiders received on that front when SU basketball was in pursuit of Kiyan Anthony.
“Kiyan Anthony has an in-home visit with Syracuse basketball coaches today as they look to lock down the legacy recruit. He has said prior he’ll make his commitment before his senior season begins. Brent’s crystal ball still projects Anthony to Syracuse. Hope you had a chance to listen to the pod with Paul Biancardi. He had terrific insight into Anthony, Sadiq White, other SU targets and incoming frosh Donnie Freeman and Elijah Moore.”
6. Meet-Ups
When Syracuse football made a trip to Viva Las Vegas to play UNLV, we held a meet-up with Syracuse Sports Insiders at the Rockhouse located in The Venetian Resort.
Over 100 Orange fans showed up to talk football and party with Brent Axe and fellow Insiders!
It was a fantastic time and we’re looking to do more meet-ups with Insiders in the near future.
