Famous fitness franchise coming to Augusta at former Bed, Bath & Beyond location

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A world-famous fitness franchise is coming to Augusta in 2025 – in the location of the former Bed, Bath & Beyond store.

Crunch Fitness plans to open a new exercise studio in Augusta Exchange located at 221 Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway.

The facility will be located where the former Bed, Bath & Beyond store was in the plaza after it closed down back in 2023.

The $5 million, 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness facility will open its doors in Spring 2025, the franchise announced Tuesday.

Crunch Augusta will be the 60th location nationwide for Fitness Ventures and the fifth location for the franchise in Georgia, with plans to open 10 more locations across the United States next year.

Fusing fitness with entertainment to make serious fitness fun, Crunch Augusta will offer top-quality cardio and strength training equipment, power half-hour circuit training, personal training, a dedicated group fitness studio, Olympic lifting platforms, Ride cycling classes, a functional HIITZONETM training area with indoor turf, TRX®, tanning, HydroMassage® beds, Kids Crunch babysitting, and a sauna.

Brian Hibbard currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Fitness Ventures LLC, which owns and operates Crunch Fitness locations across the U.S. Hibbard has found a unique opportunity to develop the Crunch Fitness brand through his passion for the industry.
