Saints add QB Ben DiNucci

With Derek Carr unavailable, the Saints have added a quarterback.

Ben DiNucci announced on social media that he’s signed with New Orleans.

DiNucci did not specify whether he signed with the team’s 53-man roster or practice squad. But the club did have a spot available on the practice squad.

A Cowboys seventh-round pick in 2020, DiNucci appeared in three games with one start for Dallas as a rookie and has not played in a regular-season game since then. He’s also spent time with the Broncos and Bills as well as the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL.

Either Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler will likely start for the 5-8 Saints when they play the Commanders in Week 15.
