2024 NASCAR season in review: Ty Majeski

Ty Majeski made his second appearance in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship 4 memorable by winning the race at Phoenix and collecting his first series title.

The championship marked the third for ThorSport Racing in the past four seasons.

WHAT WENT RIGHT: Won the pole and led 132 of 150 laps at Phoenix to win the race and the championship. It was the most dominant championship-winning performance in this format. His other two victories came in the final two races of the regular season. Finished the season with eight top 10s, including three wins, in the final 12 races of the year. Ranked third in laps led in the series. Led 397 of his 600 laps in the final 12 races of the year.

WHAT WENT WRONG: The first half of the season. Finished outside the top 10 in five of the first 11 races of the season.

MAJESKI SAID: “I’m just trying to take in the moment. Looking back on my career, I’ve won some big races and won some championships. You don’t sit and think about what you’ve been able to accomplish and how you’ve gotten here. … Just trying to take it all in.”
