Code Girls holds technology fashion show
Code Girls United’s Advanced Class members are showcasing their hard work and skills during a Tech Fashion Show on Dec. 16.
They will show off hats and coordinating outfits with programmed lights and components. Girls will walk the runway and share their stories and inspiration for their designs.
The show is at 5 p.m.
“We are thrilled to spotlight our Advanced Class students and their creative work.” Marianne Smith, Code Girls United CEO, said. “We hope you will join us at our Tech Fashion Show.”
The event is open to the public and will be hosted in the Gateway Mall, located at 1203 U.S. 2, Suite 31. RSVP is requested to m.dunning@codegirlsunited.org.
The advanced class is comprised of 10 students, ages 13-16, who have completed the CGU Beginning and Intermediate Classes. This class has created apps using JavaScript and other advanced skills and concepts typically taught in college courses.
Founded in 2016, Code Girls United’s mission is to expand the future career opportunities of fourth through eighth grade girls through hands-on experiences in coding, technology, and business.
