Juvenile thief goes on shopping spree after finding credit card: Seven Hills Police Blotter
SEVEN HILLS, Ohio
Theft, Summitview Drive: On Nov. 16, police were dispatched to the community recreation center after a member reported a stolen credit card while visiting the Summitview Drive venue.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said he suspected a juvenile found the card that must have fallen out of his pocket when entering the gym.
Shortly after, the man’s mother was getting alerts from the credit card company about $111 in fraudulent purchases at numerous local businesses.
The suspect also walked back into the rec center when the officer was present.
The caller and suspect had to be separated.
The officer went to a local gas station, where the attendant confirmed the suspect used the card.
The suspect admitted to the fraudulent purchases.
He was picked up by his grandmother.
Charges are pending.
