Sabrina Carpenter Has Me Longing for Summer in New Versace Campaign

Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about.

Sabrina Carpenter Sunbathes in Versace Shades for New Eyewear Campaign

Winter weather be damned, Sabrina Carpenter is still lounging with her tanning mirror like it’s the middle of summer and we’ve been transported into the “Espresso” music video.

Wishful warm-weather thoughts aside, in reality the Grammy nominee is the star of a new Versace campaign, where she wears different sets from the brand’s Biggie eyewear collection—thick black frames featuring the label’s iconic Medusa logo on the temples. She stars alongside French basketball player Alexandre Sarr.

In one Instagram post, Carpenter received the praises of none other than Donatella Versace herself, who wrote, “@sabrinacarpenter you are breathtaking in our Biggie campaign. Strong, intense, a touch Italian…the perfect Versace Espresso! 💜.”

Kim Jones Releases Limited-Edition Dior Necklace to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Marc Jacobs

This year, Marc Jacobs’s eponymous brand celebrates its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of boundary-pushing fashion and joyful designs.

To celebrate that milestone, fellow designer Kim Jones commemorate the anniversary by releasing a limited edition accessory at Dior Homme, where he currently serves as artistic director.

Jones unveiled a thick, collar-style chain necklace, which features ballon-shaped “CD” letters (for Christian Dior), as well as Jacobs’s initials alongside large, teardrop-shaped pendants.

In a statement, Jones said, “It reminds me of an era of Marc where he made the world shiny and bright, which he still does.” Jacobs even gave his seal of approval by sharing a selfie of himself wearing the necklace.

You can pick up the piece for yourself only in person, at select stores worldwide.

Jimmy Choo Unveils New Madison Avenue Flagship as Part of Inventive Retail Approach

Looking to visit a Jimmy Choo store? The luxury fashion house just unveiled a brand-new flagship on Madison Avenue that offers a one-of-a-kind experience and unique, seasonal pieces for all shoppers.

As part of a global concept from designer Nebihe Cihan, the newly-unveiled boutique bridges the gap between fashion and interior design, with stunning mid-century furniture from Luigi Pellegrin, Antonio Citterio, and Móveis Cimo, as well as fabulous lighting by Tommaso Bertocco and Kueng Caputo.

“Dynamic, modern, vibrant, and free – New York is a kindred spirit, a home from home for the brand, connecting with our values and ethos, [and] our attitudes to 21st-century glamour,” creative director Sandra Choi said in a statement. “I’m thrilled that we can reinvent our footprint in this city, linking our creativity with New York’s unmistakable personality.”

You can visit the storefront now at 667 Madison Ave.

Diotima and Palm Heights Celebrate New Joint Capsule Collection

Shana Trajanowska

The relationship between Palm Heights and Diotima only continues to get stronger. On December 17, the two brands will launch a new collection that celebrates their ongoing partnership.

Just last year, a concept store called Dolores was opened in Palm Heights, and the launch event was co-hosted by Diotima’s Rachel Scott, whose designs were featured in the boutique. That same weekend, Scott also got engaged when her girlfriend, Chaday Emmanuel, surprised her by getting down on one knee at the hotel’s fifth floor balcony at sunset.

Now, Scott and Palm Heights’s Gabriella Khalil are taking their professional relationship to the next level, with a collaborative capsule that was celebrated on Wednesday night with a star-studded launch party.

The collection will become available to shop starting Tuesday, December 17.
