HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A child is in surgery after being hit by an SUV that drove through five businesses at a West Houston strip mall on Saturday afternoon.
Surveillance footage from inside 32 Degrees Barbershop on Westheimer near Highway 6 shows the Porsche Macan plowing through a side wall at 12:15 p.m.
The vehicle hit an 11-year-old boy, who ended up flying into the massage parlor next door.

A child is in recovery after being hit by a car that crashed through three businesses on Westheimer Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle first entered the strip center through the front of a church, then turned and drove through four interior walls. It came to a stop inside a gun shop.
Strip mall owner Joseph Rothchild said he spoke to the man driving and that he’d just come from treatment at the dialysis center several businesses over at the time of the crash.
“He said he remembered backing up, and he remembered going forward, but after that, he just remembered waking up in the space,” Rothchild said.
Darrick Brown, who owns 32 Degrees, said a man painting his windows first warned him and patrons of the SUV. At the time, it had just struck a parked vehicle.
Surveillance video shows people running for the exit. You can hear a screeching sound before the SUV slams through a wall and hits the child.
According to police, the child sustained internal bleeding.
Rothchild said a woman inside a dress shop was also hit and sent to the hospital.
Other victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and no fatalities were reported, police said.
Rothchild said emergency repairs are being made to the damaged businesses, and all five are expected to be open on Sunday.
