Katie Holmes Tops Her Usual Fall Fashion Fit With a Bob Dylan-Esque Beanie
Katie Holmes has been on a roll with her Fall fashion formulas. Last week, she dressed as everyone’s favorite “band aid” Penny Lane in a ’70s-style leather and shearling-lined coat. Her outfits have landed at the intersection of luxury and gorpcore, served up some color-blocking and smart layering, and always accessorised the most effortless and chicly. Spotted frequently going to and from the New York theater where she’s starring in the Broadway production of Our Town, casual and put together is the name of the game.
Braving the New York chill yesterday (December 14), Holmes was photographed in what’s become quite a typical silhouette. She wore a grey peacoat with an oversized beige and color-flecked knit turtleneck, light wash denim jeans, and her go-to black leather flats. On her arm, she toted an ecru-toned bag from one of her favorite brands, Manu Atelier. From looks of Fall days gone by, we know Holmes loves the peacoat and high necked combo, a simple and chic styling trick to layer key wardrobe pieces smartly without throwing off proportions or resorting to the all-enveloping overcoat.
