Here are this week’s local business and nonprofit awards, acquisitions and donations:
HELPING OUT
Bank of America named two St. Louis nonprofits as its 2024 Neighborhood Builders for their work in bringing resources to the disadvantaged. Connections to Success and St. Louis Public Schools Foundation were each awarded a $200,000 grant over two years.
Revity Credit Union employees contributed $1,390 to the Madison County Fallen Officer Memorial Fund, in Madison County, Illinois. Revity employees donated over $17,000 to 11 nonprofits throughout the 2024 Revel for a Cause Jeans Program.
MERGER
Burger Law, based in St. Louis, Missouri and McCready Law, based in Chicago, merged the personal injury law firms effective Jan. 1. Burger has offices in Missouri and Illinois. McCready’s offices are in Illinois and Indiana.

NAME CHANGE
Big Surf waterpark in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, has been rebranded by new owners Wheelhouse Waters as SuperSplash USA. A $3 million expansion is planned this winter to include additional acreage and attractions.
PROJECTS
IMPACT Strategies started construction on Phase I of Vivian’s Village, an affordable housing community at 5708 Bond Ave., Cahokia Heights, Illinois. The development is an aligned partnership with SIHF Healthcare, and is named after Vivian Cash, a St. Clair County resident and local housing advocate for 64 years.
RECOGNITION
The Building Service Contractors Association International recognized 4M Building Solutions with the 2024 BSCAI Safety Award for having the best safety record in the Large Companies category. 4M is a commercial cleaning and janitorial service headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
