Bozeman airport expects busy holiday travel week
BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is expecting a busy holiday travel period starting Friday.
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport President and CEO Brian Sprenger says the airport is expecting approximately 5,000 outbound passengers per day during peak travel days between Friday, Dec. 20 and Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Sprenger shared three tips that passengers departing the airport for holiday travel should keep in mind.
“Number one, bring your patience,” said Sprenger. “Get here early, number two. Number three, if you have Christmas presents or anything you’re taking with you we definitely recommend not wrapping them in case the TSA needs to inspect them.”
As the year draws to a close, Sprenger says the airport is on track to surpass last year’s record number of travelers. He estimates by the end of the year, approximately 2.6 million total passengers will have traveled through the airport in 2024, up approximately 7% from last year.
